How can we improve Bing Ads to create a better experience?

    • Don't Limit The Number Of Ads or Keywords Viewable at the Account Level!

      When at the account level in the Bing Ads interface, I often want to populate ALL of my keywords or ads but am limited by the error "Your account has more keywords than can be displayed, select a campaign to narrow down the scope."

      This limits the analysis options that I can do on an account level from within the interface. I might want to quickly identify my top 10 conversion generating keywords accross all ad groups but in order to do so, I would have to download a report, which is a pain.         I think it's pretty self-explanatory. Allow bidding by CPA (cost per acquisition) instead of CPC. In Google Adwords we can do this. It really helps our ROI, since Adwords will adjust our bidding up or down, depending on what it takes to gets up a conversion. This would be great if Bing could implement something similar.

        • Please Undo Desktop/Laptop and Tablet Combined Targeting

          I appreciate the fact that Bing Ads is doing everything possible to make the user experience a good one.

          However, the merger of desktop/laptop and tablet targeting under one category has proven to be extremely detrimental to our campaigns as the two simply do not convert at same rate, and as a result the non-productive device is consuming precious campaign budgeting that was well spent on the productive device; thus this newly combined device targeting is making campaigns unsustainable from an ROI standpoint.

          As an alternative to undoing the device targeting merger, please consider adding bid reduction/increase functionality to both…

            We’re currently gathering feedback on this change. What bid adjustment ranges are you interested in us supporting for PC & tablet bidding if we separate them out. Would also love some context on why you want those ranges. ROI? Dedicated products per device? Etc.

          • Change the language and market in an existing ad group

            Currently, you can't change the language and marketing setting for an existing ad group. You can only set the language and market setting when you create a new ad group

              It is sort of strange you can't target counties. I know you can do a radius around a county but that is often not helpful. Simple country targeting is available in every other major ad platform like Adwords and Facebook. Please add simple county targeting without the need for a radius.

                We have started looking at providing this functionality and have a question about how you are dealing with our lack of this feature today. Are you
                1. Targeting a broader area than you prefer (e.g. state level)?
                2. Targeting a narrower area than you prefer (e.g. city level)?
                3. Not advertising that local product or service in Bing Ads due to lack of this feature?

                  • Penalizing accounts

                    Please do not penalize a whole account because of one ad group. Plus let your users know what they did wrong and let them know they have been penalized. It makes your customer service agents look like idiots. Cause there clueless and making guesses on why a account was penalized. This is very poor customer service. Youll are leaving so much money on the table because of not telling your customers whats going on. Some people make a living advertising online and youll make it harder.

                      It would be much easier to see all keyword match types at a glance if the appropriate exact/phrase match-type symbols were used (" ", [ ]). I realize that match type can be indicated in a different column, but we should be able to see in one glance at a keyword what its match type is.

                        I need the ability to block more than 100 IP Addresses and subnets. This stems from the fact that you can not target mobile ads based on carriers. What I've been doing is placing a filter on my mobile ads to block out other carrier traffic. The problem is I've amassed over 100 ip address ranges and your exclusion tool only allows me to block 100 ip addresses. I need the ability to block at least double that amount. Maybe 500 ip address is a nice round number.

                          There are significant ad-serving restrictions on the Bing Ads platform, where language settings set at ad group level determine which publisher domain ads can serve on, as well as determining what types of characters are allowed in keywords and ad copy.

                          The ability to only select one language at ad group level (as opposed to setting multiple languages at campaign level on Google) inevitably means that we miss out on a lot of traffic. There is no official way, as yet, to serve, for example, French language ads on .com or .co.uk, or English language ads on .fr or .es.…

                          • Restore/ Re-Enable Deleted Campaigns, Just Like AdWords

                            In AdWords, campaigns are never technically deleted, but hidden from the active account and paused so that it doesn't clutter the main interface. I ran into an issue because our accounts are handled by 2 people and my colleague accidentally deleted a campaign from uploading a list.

                            It would've been nice to simply click the tabs that display "All, All but deleted, and All enabled" and be able to see that deleted campaign again and simply restore it that way.

                                I you want to make the Dimensions tab worth something - COPY GOOGLE.The Dimensions Tab is not usable as it is now. It's only gives keyword or AdGroup level data, which limits how helpful it actually is. Dimensions should be on the Account Level, the Campaign Level and the AdGroup Level - what time of the day by account or campaign or what day of the week.                                   In the UI, selecting campaigns for the import from AdWords into Bing Ads could be made easier.
                                  Currently it is not possible to either sort the campaigns in alphabetical order or to search for specific campaigns. Campaigns are listed in order of the Campaing IDs.

                                  • Police your Search Partner network sites

                                    I'm seeing a lot - several hundred - fraudulent conversions occurring on search network partner sites. When I look up the search partner URLs, they are parked domains - how can these be considered quality "search partners"? There's not even a search box on these sites.

                                    Specifically, I've noticed most of these bad domains are associated with Google Analytics ID ua-2249740-15, which has a network of over 24K sites.

                                    Please investigate this: I have shut down my client's account until this is resolved.

                                      Currently, when targeting ads by Hour of Day, adCenter bases delivery times off the user's time zone; whereas, AdWords bases delivery times off the advertiser's set time zone.

                                      Advertisers would like to have the option of which time zone is being used.

                                        Thank you for letting us know this option is important to you! What are some of the scenarios for when you’d use your own time zone and when you’d use the consumers’ time zone?

                                      • Campaign Experiments - Split Testing of Bids, etc.

                                        Campaign Experiments was introduced in AdWords last year and is incredibly valuable. It allows several forms of split testing traffic, but most importantly, you can bid two different amounts on a keyword and see if statistically significant differences emerge. I believe there is potential for bidding differently in the two platforms, but without experiments, it is difficult to test and so I generally just run experiments in AdWords and apply changes everywhere. The ability to test in AdCenter would be very valuable.

                                        • Improving 'Location Targeting'

                                          Hello,

                                          Here is a problem I encountered in Bing Editor, Location targeting;

                                          My Goal: To build campaigns that target worldwide. (approximately 200 different countries), while excluding just a few different countries.

                                          My Problem: having to click "Include" 200 times per campaign in order to achieve my goal.

                                          I hope that the team of Bing Ads will be able to come up with a both practical and convenient solution.
