How can we improve Bing Ads to create a better experience?

  1. Provide a Google Click ID Equivalent - (It's already behind the scenes as the msclkid param)

    Using the param {msclkid} in a similar way to the Google Click ID would be increadibly useful for offline conversion tracking.

    The msclkid is the parameter that is used behind the scenes already although it doesn't currently track click success rate, which decreases it's usefulness as a passable param.

    Once we can pass along the clickID we need to be able to access the clickID via either the API or the UI to take advantage of the information.

    • Ability to report on Account Level Search Impression Share directly within the interface, similar to Google AdWords

      Currently, in order to view the account level Search Impression Share, one has to download a Share of Voice report in excel and then manually calculate the overall weighted-average Impression Share for the account. This process is quite lengthy, especially when compared to Google AdWords where you can see the overall avg search impression share straight within the interface. And its not just limited to account level, you can view campaign/adgroup/ keyword level impressio share for AdWords directly within the interface without downloading any reports!

      • Phone Call Conversion ability from programs like If by phone and other providers. There is currently no way to track Phone Call conversions

        I suggest creating a way to integrate 3rd party call tracking programs. There are many services that allow you to track calls through Dynamic Number Insertion. Bing offers no way to integrate those services and thus, we are blind on what ads and keywords are driving our phone calls. We have this set up through Google Analytics and then it imports into Adwords. It can also be manually uploaded, referring to the call records, to apply conversions. This is a critical tracking element and very important conversion that many others must be needing. I hope you will come up with…

          Thanks for the suggestion. We’d like to understand what companies you use today for call tracking that you then integrate with Adwords. Someone mentioned CallRail. Are there any others?

        • My week starts on a monday. Allow my week report to start on mondays as well.

          Title says it all. Currently the week starts on a sunday by default and there is no way to change this. I'd like my week to start on mondays, so it's in line with my other reporting.

          • Better Savable Custom Reports

            The ability to save custom reports is account specific and covers one report. An amazing new feature would be the ability to save a set of custom reports under one report option that can be applied to the account you are on with one click. e.g. Account X123456 , in custom reports you would have a renameable report that would run a keyword report, share of voice report and Negative conflict report all with customised colums at the touch of one button.

              Please add conversion value to the search query report. Conversions, conversion rate and CPA are already included, but these don't tell me if a keyword is profitable or not!!

              • Insights in converted clicks and conversions

                I would like to see the results of the different conversions types (sale, newsletter etc). And have 2 columns, one for converted clicks and one for conversions like in AdWords

                • Search term reports to show impression results even if those impressions had no clicks.

                  I need to see what searches triggered the ad impression so I can optimize. Especially for phrase and broad keywords, the info would be helpful.

                    I would love to see the ability to track call conversions once a visitor has clicked my ad and been directed to my site and then makes a phone call.

                      Would you be able to add a filter to the reporting that can exclude traffic from outside certain regions. For example, I want to look at multiple accounts on a search query report but only traffic from the UK

                        Visitors IP address details available as a report option to enable easier crosschecking with web server logs.

                        When tracking click on a website its neccessary to filter out all of the robots and hackers.
                        Many are easy but some are more subtle. Having a report available on Bing which gives the IP address of the machines the clicks orginate from would be very useful. It would enable interested Bing customers to crosscheck with their web server logs (or Drupal database) and thereby identify genuine visitors directed from Bing as distinct from robots and other web crawlers.                         • Call Extension Conversions

                          Currently in Google, you are able to stipulate that a phone call after 5 minutes is a conversion – but currently there is a way to do this on our platform. Ideally, my clients are hoping to be able to track conversions from the Call Extensions, rather than just having a call count.

                              • Product Ads Reporting with the Conversions Report

                                Will there be a possibility to request to ad Shopping campaigns to the conversion tracking reports? We are aware that we can see the data when the type is under campaigns, keywords and ad groups but it would be nice for these campaigns to form part of the Conversion reports.

                                    At the minute, it appears that we only see performance based on if the ad extensions themselves are clicked - clicking on the image for the image ad extension returns a click, however clicking on the ad itself does not return a click for the extension.

                                      • Make available conversion / revenue data in the 'Targeting' -> 'Age and gender' report

                                        In order to set multipliers for age and gender it would first be nice to know how each group performs. Unfortunately in the age and gender report you could only see the distribution of clicks and impressions. What is missing is costs (well, with average CPC and total clicks I could calculate this assuming there are not too many and too extreme age/gender multipliers at work in the overall bidding network so that I pay the same cpc for each gender / age group) and mostly conversion data (revenue and amount of transactions). Would be great to have these metrics…

                                          We now have estimated conversions, and estimated conversion rate in the Age & Gender report. We will look into bringing in cost data as well. Thank you for your time and for the feedback!
