Make Bing Ads Editor Mac Compatible
Please make a version of the Bing Ads Editor Mac Compatible!
Please provide a MAC version of the Bing Editor for those of us that prefer to work with a Mac.
One of the most common complaints we hear on Twitter and in the forums on the Microsoft Advertising Community site is that users want access to the adCenter Desktop for Mac.
I need this ASAP, as do thousands and thousands of other advertisers. What is the holdup?!
If this isn't resolved by 01/01/14, I'm closing my account.
hurry up please.
Having to switch back and forth from Mac and PC won't make sense for an SMB. Many will just not bother to advertise on Yahoo/Bing

If I had could use 1000 votes on this I would do it. I literally have to call Bing, wait on hold, verify my info, explain to them my issue, wait on hold again, and then send them a spreadsheet of what I want changed so that they can do it on their end, just to change some destination URL's!!!!!!!! It just took me about 1 hour to do something that would take 5 minutes in adwords editor on my mac.
Why dont you all partition your Mac hard Drive and install windows OS. Then install bing editor. Problem Solved. No need for 2 computers anymore. I am also waiting for editor for Bing but this has held me over during the wait.

I read that the release of the Mac compatible version of Bing Ad Editor is due to be released in September... Please let it be so!

Same here - 7 figure Google spend, 4 figure Bing spend because I can't ask my entire team to work from a PC to edit 500k ads

Google AdWords has had Mac and WIndows versions of their desktop editor for years! Why isn't Microsoft willing or able to do the same? I
I can agree that this would be a good thing, but I can definitely see how there would be hurdles to overcome. The current editor updates frequently, and is based on .NET Framework and SQL Server. These two programs are made my by microsoft, and right now, there's no analogue to them on Mac OS. Even so, a dedicated MacOS version would place MS in the unenviable situation of having to update and maintain two separate software builds. As Dani pointed out, a Java version might be a workable solution, which would mean either a) Writing a Java version and juggling updates between the Windows and MacOS (Java) versions, or b) scrapping the current design and building one Java version for both.
While Java is great for cross-platform compatibility, it's not as effective as writing software for one operating system or framwork. So attaining the spthe level of functionality in the current Windows-only version would be one challenge. In addition, there are likely functions in .NET Frameork and SQL Server that would either be difficult, or impossible to emulate for non-Windows systems.
Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a beneficial-maybe even necessary step for the platform. Lots of Bing Ads users use MacOS, and having the increased editing ability in the Editor would be a remendous help. I also am confident that Microsoft is more than up to the task. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Bing Ads Desktop Editor for Mac is needed desperately, this is 2013 not 1999, everything should work everywhere.
I agree, this would be nice to have. While I can understand some obstacles that this would cause (macs don't use .net framework, which is one of the prerequisites for the desktop app) I'm sure a Java version would be plausible? Here's hoping.

We are literally spending millions of USD with other networks.
We have opted not to spend any of it with Bing because my entire office consists of Mac users ( it's the obvious choice anyway ).
We have tried managing large accounts from the online interface, but honestly we gave up.
We timed it:
- To isolate one problem keyword amongst 300 000 keywords in the account took 28 minutes, because the message that we get when we select the keywords tab is:
"You have too many keywords in your account to display here, narrow your options."
Easier said than done mind you...
OK then... Again I will say millions of USD on the table Bing and we're a small advertiser.
I really do not understand how you cannot employ 10 Java developers for 6 months, because that's pretty much what it will take to produce a cross-platform application.
We would LOVE to support you, but you will need to provide the necessary support to be able to get ads into your platform.
I sincerely hope you take this plea from myself and fellow disgruntled advertisers to heart and finally do something about it.
Bing!! Its 2013!!! where is the EDITOR FOR MAC???? Are you kidding??
